Commentator labels Harry Maguire ‘Upamecamaguire’ after Man Utd disasterclass

Manchester United's Harry Maguire was labelled as 'Upamecamaguire' during the Red Devils' clash with Sevilla.

Maguire had already left his mark on the tie, when he turned the ball into his own net to draw Sevilla level in Manchester in the first leg of the Europa League tie. And the Englishman had more bad luck in the reverse fixture when he was dispossessed, leading to Youssef En-Nesyri's opener.

And, via The Guardian, Michael Nash reported that Maguire's performance hadn't gone unnoticed on the continent: "My son is in Spain watching the game. He just said a Spanish commentator referred to Harry as Upamecamaguire."

The cheeky comment comes less than 24 hours after Dayot Upamecano was called the same thing as Bayern Munich were dumped out of the Champions League by Manchester City.

The French defender, in the first half alone, managed to get sent off, have it overturned, give away a penalty and find himself in the referee's book. And his performance led to one Arabic commentator calling him 'UpaMaguire'.

Like Bayern, United crashed out of Europe after they were outclassed by their opponents over the two legs.
