‘I’m very pleased the club want me to be part of the project long-term, and am very happy to sign this extension to my contract.
‘We are working hard for success and I will do my best to bring more smiles to the faces of the fans who have made me feel so welcome.’
The 26-year-old England defender joined Chelsea from Leicester for £50m in 2020, signing a five-year contract with the Premier League giants.
Chilwell has established himself as one of Chelsea’s most important players since joining the Champions League quarter-finalists.
He will be looking to prove his worth once again when the Blues travel to Real Madrid for their first-leg tie on Wednesday.
Chilwell has, however, struggled with two serious and untimely injuries during his Chelsea career.
After a disappointing Euro 2020 campaign with England, Chilwell had rediscovered his best form before suffering an ACL knee injury which ruled him out for six months.
Chilwell also sustained a hamstring injury in the build-up to the World Cup. As a result, he missed the tournament in Qatar.
Chilwell told Sportsmail how, on his return, he felt like he is developing into one of the leaders within Chelsea’s squad.

‘Walking onto the pitch, starting that first game [against Borussia Dortmund] I felt different in my head,’ Chilwell said.
‘Even though it was only a few months [out], I’d gone from what I felt was still being one of the newer players to one of the senior players.
‘That’s helped me take a lot more responsibility and feel a responsibility to be vocal in the dressing room, to help players out, the new players on and off the pitch, help us as a team to get results and helped me a lot to mature as a player.
‘Take on that role as one of the people that has been here the longest.’
