Chelsea want £40million for Romelu Lukaku after rejecting Inter’s latest bid for the striker.
Juventus and Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have also expressed their interest but Lukaku has been set on a return to Inter, where he spent last season on loan.
Inter met with Lukaku’s lawyer at the end of last week but their £23m offer has failed to convince Chelsea, who wish to recoup a greater portion of the £97.5m they paid to buy the Belgian in 2021.
Mauricio Pochettino had been asked to work with the 30-year-old, who is due back for pre-season on Wednesday, but he wants a striker happy to be at the club.
Chelsea are in talks with Brighton over a deal for Moises Caicedo and with Flamengo for midfielder Matheus Franca.

Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, a target for Liverpool, is also on their radar, while they have signed Everton left-back Ishe Samuels-Smith for £4m.
Chelsea are looking to offload at least seven players as they continue to recoup more than £212m in sales.
PAOK want Baba Rahman, Al Nassr still want Hakim Ziyech while Ethan Ampadu, Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr and Callum Hudson-Odoi are likely to leave.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have agreed a £19m fee plus add-ons with Chelsea for Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic, 24, is one of several players Chelsea will consider letting to as they start again under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Ideally the American would like to stay in England but other clubs are wary of meeting the winger’s current contract which sees him earn more than £200,000-a-week.
Chelsea’s high wages are complicating plans by owner Todd Boehly to have a major overhaul at Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, after 18 years as a Chelsea player, Mason Mount completed a £60million move to Manchester United this week.
After joining United, Mount revealed that Chelsea made it clear to him several months ago that he wasn’t in their plans.
‘Several months ago, it became clear I wasn’t in Chelsea’s plans going forward and once I knew United were involved my decision was made up,’ he told MUTV.
‘Massive club, huge iconic players that have played here and I wanted to be part of that from the beginning. Getting here early ready for pre-season to start was a main objective of mine as well.’
