The Premier League season has only just finished, but already the transfer rumour mill is working overtime, with the latest gossip coming in the form of a target for Thomas Tuchel. Chelsea still have arguably the biggest game of their season awaiting them on Saturday as they travel to Porto to face Manchester City in the Champions League final.

Chelsea transfer target Miralem Pjanic claims he has been left with a “bitter taste” by his treatment at Barcelona this season.

The Bosnia midfielder has made only six La Liga starts this season under Ronald Koeman, having been signed for £56m last summer.

Pjanic had been one of the most consistent performers in Serie A before moving to Spain, having spent a combined nine years with Roma and then Juventus.

However, it appears he may be seeking a way out of the Nou Camp less than a year after joining, with Chelsea reportedly keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Following the 1-0 win at Eibar on Saturday to wrap up Barcelona’s season, Pjanic shared on social media that he is still seeking answers from the club as to why his efforts haven’t been repaid.

He tweeted: “Honour the shirt. Respect the team. Give everything on and off the court.

“This is what you deserve Barcelona. This is what I have done with my teammates from day one.

“This season leaves me with a bitter taste and questions that still seek answers.”

According to reports from Spain, the 31-year-old now sees his future lying elsewhere.

Both Mundo Deportivo and Sport (via Sport Witness) have linked Pjanic with a switch to Chelsea, who could be looking to bolster their midfield options this summer after securing Champions League football for next season.

Mundo Deportivo also claim that Chelsea have made an offer for the player, as well as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

But before he makes a decision on a summer transfer, it is understood that Pjanic is waiting to see whether Koeman remains in charge at Barca after a a disappointing season in which they only won the Copa del Rey, falling well short in Europe and the league.

Sport suggest that Chelsea are considering a swap deal for Pjanic that will see their top goalscorer in the Premier League, Jorginho, head the other way.
