Chelsea lay out conditions for Tottenham to buy Lukaku with ‘agreement possible’
Chelsea are demanding £38.7million from Tottenham to sign Romelu Lukaku, according to reports. It is claimed an agreement is possible between the two England clubs after talks opened about a deal for the Belgium striker.
Tottenham are searching for solutions in the transfer market following Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich. The north London club are set to receive up to £100m for the talismanic forward if all add-ons are reached.
Richarlison is currently the only recognised senior striker available to Ange Postecoglou. The Brazil star only scored one Premier League goal in his first season at the club but never started as the main No 9 due to the presence of Kane.
Chelsea are desperate to find a suitor for Lukaku after he made it clear he does not see his future at Stamford Bridge. Inter Milan pulled out of the running to take him back to the club earlier this summer while Juventus supporters are against the idea of their team signing him.

It emerged on Sunday that Spurs are interested in signing Lukaku and that initial contact had been made. Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport now claims that Chelsea have put a £38.7m price tag on the 30-year-old following contact with Spurs.
The report says that an agreement could be struck between the two rivals if Tottenham offer that amount. Lukaku could block a move across London, however.
It is claimed that Lukaku is not currently keen on staying in the Premier League. However, he does view a move to Spurs as better than following the exodus to Saudi Arabia.

Lukaku would not consider a move to the Saudi Pro League until later in the window if has no better offers from elsewhere. The report says he is currently training alone at Chelsea’s Cobham base and Mauricio Pochettino does not want him to have any contact with the first team.
Lukaku did not feature in any of Chelsea’s pre-season friendlies and was unsurprisingly not in the squad for Sunday’s Premier League opener against Liverpool. He would provide an experienced option up front for Postecoglou if he made the switch to Spurs.
Lukaku has scored 121 Premier League goals in 278 appearances across spells at four different clubs. His contract at Chelsea does not expire until the summer of 2026 as the Blues still hold out for a substantial fee for a proven goalscorer.
