Chelsea kit slammed "criminal offence" as Blues debut new shirt in FA Cup final
Chelsea's new home strip for the 2021/22 season has been given a negative reception by supporters on social media.
Thomas Tuchel's side have debuted their new shirt for the next campaign in the FA Cup final against Leicester City at Wembley.
The Blues are taking part in their second final in a fortnight ahead of their Champions League showdown against Manchester City in Porto on May 29.
Tuchel has done an incredible job in inspiring confidence in his players after the mid-season slump under club legend Frank Lampard.
But one thing that has not been in the German tactician's control is the design of the home shirt for next season and fans have flooded social media with negative reactions.
The new Nike strip worn at Wembley includes a striking chequered design and eye-catching yellow stripe.
"God that Chelsea kit is vile. That yellow trim should be a criminal offence," one fan said.
"This Chelsea kit is actually dreadful," another tweeted.
"It gets worse every time I look at it," one fan replied.
"Chelsea’s home kits usually look great but these ain’t it," another baffled fan added.
"That Chelsea kit is just awful what were they thinking with the yellow," one posted.
