Chelsea ‘increase’ Hakimi bid, get Haaland twist, ‘consider’ Lewandowski pursuit

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could welcome several fresh signings this summer with Roman Abramovich ready to offer further financial backing following their Champions League triumph.

While links to Erling Haaland continue, talks of exits for both Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud have rumbled on, with focus remaining on Euro 2020 rather than incoming transfers.

Tuchel, who oversaw the narrow victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City having joined the club only four months previously, is now eyeing the league title.

Daily Star Sport have now picked out three of the biggest incoming transfer rumours of the past 24 hours, one of which that involves a potential long-term replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chelsea 'increase' Hakimi bid

Chelsea are said to be willing to include one of several stars to secure the signing of Inter Milan's Archaf Hakimi this summer, who could end up replacing Azpilicueta.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Morocco international could come to Stamford Bridge for £43million plus Emerson Palmieri, with Davide Zappacosta, Mateo Kovacic and Tammy Abraham also options.

Despite Hakimi, 22, hinting that he was going nowhere after their recent Serie A triumph, Inter's financial issues could force him to depart.

Chelsea get Haaland twist

Chelsea have got a tongue-in-cheek update in the race to sign Haaland this summer, but Riyad Mahrez quickly revealed that he was only having a joke.

The City forward uploaded a clip of himself and the Norwegian dancing and laughing at a restaurant in Mykonos, alongside the caption: "Agent Mahrez on duty."

Before adding of his meeting with the childhood City fan: "(just having fun calm down)"

Chelsea 'consider' Lewandowski bid

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski could get a transfer of his own this summer, with Chelsea one of five clubs 'considering' a bid this summer say AS.

With two years left on his current deal, the Poland international is said to be thinking about a new challenge after 11 years in the Bundesliga, having broken the scoring record last time out.

While he had a tricky start to Euro 2020 in defeat, his numbers at club level are sensational, which could force another battle between Premier League sides.
