Chelsea 'have no intention of letting Noni Madueke leave on loan'
Chelsea ‘have no intention of letting winger Noni Madueke leave the club on loan in January’ despite Mauricio Pochettino planning a January shake-up of his squad
- Noni Madueke has returned to training this week after recovering from injury
- Chelsea winger has struggled for game time since joining from PSV a year ago
- Emiliano Martinez embarrassed himself! He’s a top keeper and Aston Villa fans will love him, but why does he behave like an idiot? It’s All Kicking Off
Chelsea have reportedly no intention of allowing winger Noni Madueke to leave the club on loan in January.
The 21-year-old winger has struggled for game time since joining from PSV for £25million a year ago, sparking speculation that he could be set to exit on a temporary basis.
The England Under-21 international has struggled with minor fitness issues this season and missed Chelsea’s last three league matches through injury.
But there is no desire at Stamford Bridge to sanction that for the 21-year-old or any other established first-team squad member, according to the Athletic.
Mauricio Pochettino believes Chelsea need more transfer window surgery in January to lift them out of the malaise which has left them 10th in the table and well adrift of Champions League qualification.

Chelsea have spent over £1billion in the last three transfer windows but many of those preceded Pochettino’s summer arrival and he wants his own players in to help kick-start his Stamford Bridge rejuvenation.
Chelsea are reportedly plotting a one-in one-out transfer policy in January in a bid to avoid a repeat of the issues which eventually cost Graham Potter his job.
At the start of this year, when Potter was in charge, Chelsea made six signings during the winter window, all of which went straight into the first team.
Only Jorginho, who headed for Arsenal, left from the first team group and it led to a bloated squad that became a nightmare for Potter to manage, with big name players regularly omitted from matchday squads and reports of players having to get dressed in corridors at the training ground as the dressing rooms were too small.
Now, in an effort to avoid the same fate falling on Pochettino, Chelsea are planning to tighten up their transfer strategy this time around to fix the ‘many problems’.
Chelsea are said to be looking to make two to three additions to Pochettino’s side.
However, in order to do that they will need to move on players that are not involved in Pochettino’s future plans.
Centre backs Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah are both reportedly up for sale, as is Ian Maatsen, the left back who rejected a switch to newly-promoted Burnley during the summer.
