Chelsea have made Harry Kane a ‘primary’ transfer target, reports say. The England international is currently focused on Euro 2020, with the Three Lions due to lock horns with Germany on Tuesday. But, as Tottenham scramble in panic to appoint a new manager, Spurs face a huge fight to keep hold of their prized asset.
Chelsea want to sign a new striker.
Tammy Abraham is likely to be sold, with West Ham United pressing hard to secure the signature of the England international.
Olivier Giroud could depart for Inter Milan, while Timo Werner is likely to be used as a winger under Thomas Tuchel next term.
It’s common knowledge that Chelsea have made Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland a priority target, despite the Bundesliga giants’ reluctance to sell.
And Goal claim the Blues have actually done the same with Kane as well.

Tottenham are facing a huge fight to keep hold of the England hitman, who bagged 23 goals and clocked up 14 assists in the Premier League last season.
And as they scramble to hire a successor to Jose Mourinho, Spurs could now find themselves having to dig deep.
The report does say any deal for Kane would be ‘complicated’ due to Tottenham’s reluctance to sell, as well as the high wages being demanded.
It’s a similar story with Haaland, too, especially with Borussia Dortmund poised to lose Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
And whether Chelsea are successful in landing Kane, who is also being eyed by Manchester City, is something only time will tell.

The Blues had initially made Romelu Lukaku a target, too, with the Belgium international shining for Inter Milan.
But the 28-year-old has no intention of leaving the San Siro behind, having flourished in Italy over the past two years.
Former Chelsea star Alan Hudson recently opened up on Kane, expressing a belief the Tottenham striker would be a good arrival for Tuchel’s side.
“There is absolutely no doubt Chelsea need a front man like Giroud, but far superior, younger and with more technical ability, not just a header of the ball,” Hudson said.
“Out of the players you mentioned, I’d choose Harry Kane. He’d be perfect.

“I don’t think Lukaku is the answer as Chelsea need a player to play off up front and Harry would be perfect especially as Spurs are now in free-fall.
“It is also a lot of money for Haaland, whereas you know Harry can get you goals and set goals up in the Premier League.
“Some of these players come here with great goal-scoring records abroad, and can’t hit a barn door when they get here.”
Kane previously told Sky Sports that he hoped he can have a ‘honest’ conversation with Tottenham over his future as he presses to leave the club.
“As players, you don’t know what the chairman’s thinking,” said the striker, who is currently with England at Euro 2020.
“I mean he might want to sell me.
“He might be thinking: ‘If I can get £100m for you, then why not?’ You know what I mean. I’m not going to be worth that for the next two or three years.
“I hope … I mean, we have a good enough relationship. I’ve given the club – well, I’ve been there 16 years of my life.
“So I hope we can have a good honest conversation and see where we’re at in that aspect.
“I never said I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career; I’d never say that I would leave Spurs.”
