Chelsea fans realise upcoming ominous fixtures could put them in relegation zone
Chelsea fans are fearing they could be relegated at the end of the campaign.
Frank Lampard’s return did little to raise the mood as they slumped to their second consecutive Premier League defeat. Matheus Nunes’ stunning effort was enough for Wolves to overcome the West Londoners at Molineux.
The Blues are currently residing in 11th position, 12 points away from the relegation zone. Nevertheless, with fixtures against Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Brighton and Hove Albion still to come, many Chelsea fans are fearing their Premier League status is under threat.

One fan posted: “As it stands, if Chelsea lose at least 4 of their next 8 & Everton win at least 4 of their next 8 Chelsea could be in the relegation zone.”
Alarm bells are certainly ringing amongst the Chelsea fan-base. “We haven't played Man city, Arsenal, Man Utd, Brighton and Newcastle yet. Chelsea will drop points against them,” one very worried fan posted.
“This is actually happening man,” wrote another supporter, before one particularly bemused fan suggested relegation could be good for the Blues, saying, “honestly, I think it will be better for us. Maybe we will start to play football.”

Chelsea are enduring one of their roughest periods to date, having sacked Graham Potter. And while Lampard’s return as Chelsea manager did appear to raise morale within the fan base, it did little to affect their poor run of results. “I thought the performance in the first half was 70% or so,” Lampard said to the BBC.
“It was enough for it to be an even game and there was a rocket from them out of nowhere. In the second half there was more energy, more chances and we got more people in the box. Maybe it was [missing] that feeling we could score.
We have been working here for one or two days and it’s about getting an understanding of that and the mindset of the team. There has been a lot of change and that’s not an excuse but things need to improve and I think that performance summed it up.
“I have to get an understanding of it. When I say mindset, it’s not necessarily a negative. You have to get used to winning and make it a habit. Credit to Wolves today, they were physical and stuck in for a win.”
