Chelsea defender set for deal, Gallagher reacts to brace, clubs want Christensen
Given the contract situation of a number of Chelsea defenders, it will be fascinating to see how the backline looks come the start of next season.
Thomas Tuchel has a number of crucial players at the back who are yet to agree extensions at Stamford Bridge and the uncertainty around them is triggering intense speculation over possible incomings and outgoings.
The Blues do appear to be close to securing the future of one of those players though, while another is said to be a target for a trio of Premier League outfits.
Daily Star Sport has your latest batch of Chelsea rumours.
Silva set to stay
According to Fabrizio Romano, Thiago Silva is set to extend his stay at Chelsea into a third season.
The 37-year-old remains a crucial player for Tuchel, demonstrating leadership, experience and impressive physicality in the heart of the Chelsea defence.
Romano says it's a "matter of time" before the extension is agreed, with key figures at Chelsea "super happy" with the influence Silva has had.
The former Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan star has quickly become a fan favourite at Chelsea, as he turned in some colossal performances for the Blues on their way to Champions League glory last season.

Gallagher shares Palace 'love'
After his brilliant brace against Everton on Sunday for Crystal Palace, Conor Gallagher has spoken of how much he is enjoying his time at Selhurst Park.
The 21-year-old has had a fantastic campaign to this point, with his double on Sunday taking him on to six Premier League goals for the season.
While some Chelsea fans have lamented the fact the club let the midfielder leave on loan, the England international has said he's learning a lot.
"I love it [at Crystal Palace]. Hearing them sing my name is a great feeling for me and gives me confidence which is amazing for a player. Hopefully I can continue to impress them," he said, per Sky Sports. "I always give my all and I try to affect the game as much as I can."
Three-way Christensen fight
Daily Star Sport understands Tottenham Hotspur have joined Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for Andreas Christensen.
Like Antonio Rudiger, Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta, the Blues defender is out of contract in the summer, meaning he could be available for a knockdown price in January or on a free transfer at the end of the season.
While City and United are Champions League regulars, Spurs would potentially give Christensen the chance to play every week. For new manager Antonio Conte, the Denmark international could prove to be a foundational piece to build around at the back.
