Emerson Palmieri says he is fed up with the transfer rumour mill regarding his potential move away from Chelsea this summer. The Blues defender is currently away on international duty with Italy and will not consider possible transfers until after the European Championships.
The left-back, who joined the club from Roma in January 2018, endured a difficult campaign with Chelsea, making just 15 appearances across all competitions under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel.
Emerson’s last appearances for the club came in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City on April 17 and he was an unused substitute in the Champions League victory against the same opponents last weekend.
He is therefore expected to be made available for transfer this summer, alongside the likes of Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater, Davide Zappacosta, Michy Batshuayi, Baba Rahman and Kurt Zouma.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan have already made contact with the 26-year-old’s agent over a transfer.

But despite spending the majority of a difficult campaign set on the sidelines, Emerson refused to be drawn on his future away from Stamford Bridge.
“I’m living the dream of competing in the European Championships,” he said in a press conference on Thursday.
“It has always been my goal to get here. Now I’m at this level, I’m not satisfied. I’m here, I want to give my best, win the European Championship and then…
“For many months we have been talking about the transfer market, about my return to Italy.
“Now I don’t even want to think about it. Really, I don’t care: I live in the present. [I will] play at the Euros and do everything to win it.”
While he is clearly behind Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso at Chelsea, Emerson is an important part of Roberto Mancini’s squad going into the Euros, where they face Switzerland, Turkey and Wales in Group A.

That status is shown by the fact that seven of his 22 appearances for club and country in the 2020/21 season have come for Italy.
Emerson is far from the only fringe player Chelsea are looking to move on this summer, with players like Barkley, Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Batshuayi taking home considerable wage packets after spending the season out on loan.
Tuchel will also have decisions to make on players like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Marc Guehi, Ethan Ampadu and Malang Sarr, who have also been out on loan.
The Blues are hopeful of raising some funds in order to sign a world-class centre-forward when the transfer window opens on June 9 for 12 weeks.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Inter’s Romelu Lukaku, as well as Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
