Chelsea ‘contact’ Spinazzola, continue Haaland talks, spot Rice alternative
Chelsea are ready to spend before the end of the summer transfer window in a bid to give Thomas Tuchel all the tools he needs to make them Premier League champions.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss is already in the history books at Stamford Bridge following their Champions League triumph last season, having replaced Frank Lampard in January.
While he has been delighted with the recent performances of his players, there are areas in which the Blues could strengthen this summer ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
Daily Star Sport have now rounded up three potential moves as Euro 2020 draws to a close, including an alternative to England and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Chelsea 'contact' Spinazzola
Chelsea chief Granovskaia is said to have been in contact with Roma full-back Leonardo Spinazzola after he was ruled out of Euro 2020 following an Achilles injury during Italy's win over Belgium.
The 28-year-old had impressed on their way into the quarter-finals, and got plenty of sympathy following the heartbreaking end to his tournament.
Having been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past, Granovskaia is said to have sent him a good will message ahead of his rehabilitation, which has made any summer transfer unlikely.
Haaland talks 'complicated'
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has insisted that a summer move for Erling Haaland remains 'complicated' because Dortmund don't want to sell him despite ongoing Chelsea links.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: "After selling Jadon Sancho, Dortmund are really relaxed. They are convinced they can do it and they can keep Haaland.
"If someone wants to sign Haaland this summer, Chelsea and other clubs, they will have to break the bank. It will be really, really difficult.
"His contract, you have to pay a huge salary if you want to sign him. Dortmund prefer to sell the player in one year and not right now.
"They want to enjoy Haaland. They don't need money because they sold Sancho to Manchester United. They're not in a rush. Haaland will be really, really complicated."
Rice alternative
Having impressed for England at Euro 2020, Declan Rice has once again been linked with the exit door despite David Moyes and his team making it into Europe for next season.
The Express report that AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni could be an alternative transfer for Chelsea this summer, with France's U21 manager Sylvain Ripoll recently prasing the youngster.
The 21-year-old has made 39 league appearances for the club since leaving Bordeaux, and represented his country at six different age groups.
