Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is already putting plans in place for this summer’s transfer window, with two areas of priority recognised. Meanwhile, reports suggest the Blues have made contact with AC Milan over Gianluigi Donnarumma and are also scouting Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Menino.
Here, Express Sport brings you the latest transfer news and gossip coming out of Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel’s two priorities
Chelsea were the biggest Premier League spenders in last summer, but with a new man in the dugout, it could be a similarly busy window this time around.
Since his arrival Tuchel has, on the most part, played with three at the back and has settled on the trio of Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.
However, with all three will be out of contract at the end of next season, a move could be made.
Thiago Silva’s future is also uncertain after penning a one-year deal after he left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract.

As well as improving his defensive options, the German is also keen to add some extra firepower, with the club’s massive investments in attackers failing to reap sufficient rewards.
Tuchel has played Kai Havertz as a No.9 in recent weeks, but would prefer a more archetypal centre-forward, amid links with Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
Donnarumma latest
According to reports in Italy, Donnarumma and Milan are still some way off reaching an agreement, with the keeper set to become a free agent in the summer.
Chelsea did sign Edouard Mendy in the summer, but have been linked with the 22-year-old extensively in recent years.

Signing a player from South American countries could be appealing for Premier League clubs, after the region was opened up to new work permit rules following Brexit.
The 20-year-old, who predominantly plays in central midfield, has also been deployed at right-back, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirming some interest from Stamford Bridge.
“Yes, a new name for European football, for Chelsea and other clubs that are looking at him,” Romano told Here We Go podcast.
“We are talking about scouting, so no negotiation at the moment. The fee would be around €20m (£17.2m).”
