Chelsea ‘are set to offer Conor Gallagher a HUGE new contract’ as a reward for staying at the club in January after the midfielder rejected Everton’s advances, despite their £323m winter splurge
- Gallagher has struggled for minutes this year after a loan at Crystal Palace
- Several Premier League clubs have been chasing his signature this campaign
- New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has already spent over £600m at the club
Chelsea are set to offer Conor Gallagher a bumper new contract, according to a report.
The midfielder has struggled for minutes at Stamford Bridge this season, often finding himself on the bench and appearances limited to substitute cameos.
He was subject of a hefty bid from Premier League strugglers Everton on deadline day, but opted to stay in London and fight for his place.
Game time may have just become even more difficult, however, with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly splashing out over £300million on new recruits in the January transfer window.
Boehly has spent over £600million in total since his arrival less than a year ago.

Gallagher did, though play 90 minutes in Chelsea’s draw against Fulham on Friday.
According to The Sun, Gallagher is expected to be rewarded for his loyalty by the club with a neat pay rise.
Gallagher is believed to currently be earning £50,000 per week at Chelsea, and that could be as much as doubled on a new deal.
He is currently tied down until 2025, with an extension on that also expected.
The 22-year-old rose to fame last season when he impressed on loan at Crystal Palace, scoring eight goals in 39 appearances and playing a vital role as the side finished 12th in the Premier League.
He also went to the World Cup with England at the end of last year, but failed to make an appearance.
Palace are believed to be interested in his signature on a permanent basis, with Newcastle also sniffing around for his services.
The player now faces a big decision over whether to extend his stay at Chelsea and fight for his place or enjoy more minutes at a club away from Stamford Bridge.
