Chelsea appoint ex-Man City chief as ‘Head of Business’ as overhaul continues
Chelsea have appointed former Manchester City chief Tom Glick as their new 'President of Business' as the club's overhaul continues.
Glick brings with him 30 years of experience in sports marketing and operations and will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the club as part of his role. A club statement confirms his work will include "managing its global commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, enhancing fan engagement, and creating exceptional experiences for the club's fans".
Prior to his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Glick has previously worked for Premier League champions City as the chief commercial officer for the City Football Group.

Speaking via the club's website, Glick stated: "Chelsea FC is an iconic sports institution, known and admired all over the world. I have been very impressed with the vision and mission of Todd Boehly and Clearlake.
"They have the Chelsea community at the heart of everything they do. We have a huge opportunity here to enhance performance across the board, on behalf of everyone we serve."
Chairman Todd Boehly also added: "Tom's successful track record as a leader and innovator at several respected and winning sport organisations made him the obvious choice for this position.

Glick's most recent role before joining the Blues saw him working as president of NFL franchise the Carolina Panthers. He also oversaw the creation of MLS expansion franchise Charlotte FC in 2019.
His previous roles have also seen him work with Derby County and NBA franchise the New Jersey Nets prior to their relocation to Brooklyn in 2012.
He has also previously sat on the board of the Football League, FA Council and the Professional Game Board during his three decades working in football.
