The Premier League has three representatives remaining in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and they will discover their fate in this morning’s draw. Chelsea booked their place in the final eight with a 3-0 aggregate win over La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.

Manchester City cruised into the next round by winning both legs of their tie with Borussia Mochengladbach 2-0.

Liverpool also made light work of Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, winning by the same scoreline as City.

There are many tricking opponents that English clubs will want to avoid in the draw.

Paris Saint-Germain look in great form under Mauricio Pochettino and they knocked Barcelona out in the previous round.

Borussia Dortmund, with Erling Haaland leading their attack, look like they are able to penetrate any defence.

And the juggernaught that is Bayern Munich can never be counted out as they are only three wins from defending their trophy.

More favourable ties for Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City would be Real Madrid, who are having a poor season by their own standards, and FC Porto.

However, 13-time European Cup winner Real must never be written off completely.

English clubs can also draw each other in the quarter-finals. The semi-final draw will also take place this morning.
