Spurs were ripped to shreds by Eddie Howe’s men in the first half, going 5-0 down in the first 20 minutes in one of the most astonishing collapses in recent Premier League history, leaving football fans and pundits stunned.
Jacob Murphy netted a brace in the opening 10 minutes, while Joelinton, Aleksandr Iak – who also scored a double – and Calum Wilson also got in on the act with the Toon outfit going 6-1 up in the second half after Harry Kane pulled one back.
Carragher gave a brutal response after seeing the north London outfit implode, saying Tottenham were a ‘disgrace’ as he also tore into their defenders.
‘Newcastle are brilliant, they have been all season,’ he said on Twitter.
‘Tottenham are a disgrace! How have they gone to a back four for the first time this season, with Porro a full back that can’t defend & Perisic who is a winger’

He later tweeted: ‘Now Dier and Lloris! Only Perisic not made a mistake!’
As Spurs went five down, he wrote another post saying: ‘Perisic now getting involved ! Where was he drifting!’
