BT Sport apologise for voice screaming ‘f***ing wake up’ at Liverpool vs Real
BT Sport were forced to apologise after their microphones picked up a voice screaming "f***ing wake up" at Liverpool in their 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid.
The Reds raced into a 2-0 lead inside the opening 15 minutes at Anfield after Darwin Nunez expertly flicked home and Mohamed Salah capitalised on Thibaut Courtois' error. But a Vinicius Junior brace drew the Spanish visitors level before the break.
And they got off to a flyer after the restart, with Eder Militao's header and Karim Benzema's deflected strike silencing the home crowd just 10 minutes into the second 45.

Not everyone was quiet, though, with one's audible frustrations heard on BT's coverage before Benzema added a fifth. Commentator Darren Fletcher responded: "Just to apologise for a bit of industrial language that you might have heard.
"The microphones are very close to the pitch here at Anfield. Temperatures obviously running high, knockout stages of the Champions League."
That wasn't the first apology of the night which BT Sport issued. Host Jake Humphrey expressed their "regret" at their reporting of last year's Champions League final, before which there were chaotic scenes outside the Stade de France which were blamed on Liverpool fans.

He said: "We are hugely regretful that we were reading out those false statements, the only statements shared on the big screens as we were inside the stadium was a completely false narrative.
"I just want to say sorry to all the people involved in this football club, the stress was added to you because of us sharing that information, which we now know to be completely false.
"The truth is that those football fans that were being accused were out there saving the lives of other football fans, including our family members and our friends."
