The ground staff are working all the way through to kick off to ensure as much snow has been cleared from the pitch as possible.

It maybe isn’t the most glamorous job at times, but they are proving the old methods still work the best.

The Bees and the Foxes actually met at the same stage of the FA Cup last season.
An early goal from Kelechi Iheanacho was enough for Brendan Rodgers’ side to claim victory.
Brentford had a strong EFL Cup campaign, reaching the semi-finals and beating topflight sides to nil along the way.
Can they avenge their defeat from last campaign?

Graham Potter’s side are waiting for the winner of this tie after the Premier League side beat Blackpool in the fourth round.

The Leicester City players and staff have arrived at the Brentford Community Stadium ahead of the 14:30 kick-off.

They’ll have to stay wrapped up warm during the warm ups. It’s not a day you’d want to be riding the bench.

Referee Michael Oliver did inspect the pitch an hour ago and was happy to continue with proceedings this afternoon in light of the snowy conditions.

Brentford’s new state-of-the-art ground does have under soil heating, so it would take heavy snowfall before kick-off to see any delays/postponements of this match.

Brentford earned their place in the next round with a tight 2-1 victory over fellow second tier side Middlesbrough. Goals from Halil Dervisoglu and Saman Ghoddos cancelled out Sam Folarin’s strike for Boro.

Meanwhile, Leicester made lightwork of Championship side Stoke City with a resounding 4-0 victory. James Justin, Marc Albrighton, Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes all got on the score sheet.
