Manchester United left-back Brandon Williams is eager for a season-long loan move away from Old Trafford in an attempt to register more gametime.
The 20-year-old featured just 14 times for the Red Devils last season and is keen to secure a move away from Manchester with Luke Shaw having nailed down the regular starting berth in his position.
Having penned a new deal till 2024 last season, Williams still sees his long term future at the club but with Alex Telles out injured for at least the first month of the season it is suprising that Williams is unwilling to stick around and provide cover.
The Manchester Evening News report Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was quick to single out the Englishman as his next choice full-back but it appears Williams is still wanting out:
“Unfortunately, it’s worse news on Alex Telles than we hoped for," Solskjaer said last week. "His ankle injury is a little bit more severe than we hoped and he’ll be out for a little spell at least, the whole of August I would think.
“That is football. We’ve got kids wanting to play of course. Brandon has done well in the left-back position."
The young left-back has started all three of Man Utd's pre-season matches so far and was expected to challenge both Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a spot in the starting 11 with Telles currently on crutches and wearing a protective boot.

Both Southampton and Newcastle United were keen to take the defender on loan in January but it remains to be seen if those clubs will rekindle their interest this time around.
But with the transfer window not closing until the end of August, Solskjaer may decide to sanction a late loan move for Williams and keep him around until Telles isn't far away from the first team picture.
