Borussia Dortmund vs Sevilla LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Champions League fixture tonight
Follow all the action as Borussia Dortmund host Sevilla in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.
Dortmund boast a 3-2 aggregate lead after a blistering performance by Erling Haaland in the first leg. Taking inspiration from Kylian Mbappe’s breathtaking hat-trick against Barcelona, Haaland scored two fantastic goals to put the Bundesliga side in firm control. However, an 84th minute strike by Suso has given Sevilla more than a glimmer of hope, with the Spanish side successfully digging deep on more than one occasions to clinch the Europa League last season.
Dortmund come into the fixture on the back of a chastening 4-2 defeat against rivals Bayern Munich last weekend, and will have to do without Jadon Sancho, who was been ruled out for several weeks with injury. Languishing sixth in the table, the club are facing the very real prospect of missing out on a Champions League spot next season, which threatens an exodus of some of their brightest prospects in the summer. Sevilla, though, are hardly in higher spirits. The club recently suffered back-to-back defeats against Barcelona, the second being the most dramatic of last-gasp comebacks in the Copa del Rey, before falling to another loss at relegation-threatened Elche in La Liga on Saturday. SECOND LEG DRAMA
Can the Champions League provide more chaotic comebacks?
Since Barcelona’s famous comeback against PSG, this has been an era dominated by the most complete drama during second-leg ties – but what impact will a lack of supporters have on the players?
PORTO AIMING FOR VICTORY
FC Porto boss Sergio Conceicao says his side would not be sitting back, despite holding the advantage in their Champions League tie with Juventus. He said:
Our history in this competition is very rich. We’ve prepared in the best way to get a positive result that, in a club like FC Porto, can only be the victory.
“We’re going to play in the image of who we are as a team and try to win it. We go with everything to get the qualification.”
HOW THINGS STAND
Borussia Dortmund and Porto have the advantages in their respective ties after the first leg of the last 16. Erling Haaland starred for Dortmund in their first leg against Sevilla as he scored twice in Dortmund’s 3-2 victory in Spain.
Porto scored in the first minute of each half to edge their first leg against Juventus 2-1. Federico Chiesa pulled a goal back in the 83rd minute to give Juve what could be a crucial away goal.

They have won twice in the Bundesliga and defeated Borussia Monchengladbach in DFB-Pokal quarter finals, but their last game saw Bayern Munich came for two goals behind to win 4-2, mostly thanks to a Robert Lewandowski hat-trick.
Sevilla have lost three of the four games they have played since the first leg. A victory over Osasuna in La Liga was followed by consecutive defeats to Barcelona, first in the league and then in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey where Barcelona won the second leg 3-0 and knocked Sevilla out 3-2 on aggregate. They then lost 2-1 to Elche in the league last Saturday and take little momentum into tonight’s must win fixture.
RONALDO RARING TO GO
Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo says Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to go after being able to rest before this evening’s crucial Champions League fixture against Porto. He said:
Cristiano is fine. These are his matches. He’s fired up, he’s been able to rest and can’t wait.
“We know the pressure is on us, but we don’t hide. We have what it takes to go through, but we don’t underestimate our opponents. However, we are Juventus and have to think about qualifying.”
