Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer masterminded a crucial 3-0 victory over Tottenham on Saturday afternoon. While the Norwegian can point towards a change of system and some Cristiano Ronaldo brilliance as defining factors of their win, former Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho could only watch on from the bench as Spurs crumbled under the lights.
Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani all got on the score-sheet as Solskjaer shrugged off some of the mounting speculation on his future.
Having switched to a 3-5-2 formation with no wingers, Sancho was forced to watch on and potentially wonder where he can fit into the side going forward.
His £73million move from Dortmund during the summer was met with great expectations, although the relationship between player and club is yet to bear fruit.
Ten appearances without a goal or an assist are a testament to that, despite putting up sensational numbers during his four-year stay in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has been vocal about Sancho’s treatment since moving to Old Trafford, holding the view that he should be played more by Solskjaer.
In September, he vented: “I love Jadon, when you see him playing you get tears in your eyes.
“It hurts my soul that he is given so little consideration.
“I think his problem is that he’s not set in the English national team. This squad, when it’s depleted, still isn’t up there with the best in the Premier League.”

If they were Watzke’s beliefs a month ago, one can only wonder what he is currently thinking as Sancho has been left untouched on the bench for the past two matches.
After last weekend’s hammering by Liverpool and a string of poor results before that, United have been in the trenches for the past few weeks and Sancho has not been called upon.
With praise flying in regarding Ronaldo’s newfound striker partnership with Cavani in Saturday’s winger-less system, the youngster’s game time could take yet another hit in the coming weeks.
“Both of them [Ronaldo and Cavani] have been really really good,” admitted Solskjaer after the game.
“I said in a different interview, Tuesday morning’s training session by Edinson Cavani was the best I’ve seen by an individual since I have come here.
“The two of them were told early on they were going to play up front as a two and they’ve been like two peas in a pod, really close and it worked today.
“Two excellent goals from the two of them.”
