Borussia Dortmund 1-3 Ajax: Marco Rose’s side suffer another embarrassing defeat by Dutch champions after Mats Hummels was shown red for colliding with Antony
- German giants Dortmund lost 4-0 to Ajax in their last meeting two weeks ago
- They started well and scored first thanks to a penalty scored by star Marco Reus
- However, Mat Hummels was shown a straight red card for colliding with Antony
- Ajax then got back into the game and scored an equaliser in the 72nd minute
- Sebastien Haller and Davy Klaassen scored late winners to see the game end 3-1
Borussia Dortmund had hoped to get their revenge on Ajax when they hosted the Dutch side just two weeks after their humiliating 4-0 loss.
Dortmund got off to a good start thanks to a goal from Marco Reus. However, things quickly changed for the German’s after Mat Hummels was shown a straight red card.
Ajax got back into the game and scored an equaliser in the 72nd minute of the game, before Sebastien Haller and Davy Klaassen scored late winners to see the game end 3-1.
