England may have stuck ten goals, yes ten, past San Marino, but one person in a Three Lions shirt was left with a similar chastening, heartbreaking feeling as those in the neon orange kits of the minnows.

Gareth Southgate’s side brutally rolled over San Marino on their way to the 2022 World Cup, unrelentingly smashing ten goals past the 210th ranked side in FIFA.

The travelling Three Lions faithful witnessed a moment of history, as England reached double figures for the first time in 57 years.

And one England fan holding a sign asking for Jude Bellingham's shirt, thought he was going to be leaving with his own slice of history only to be brutally snubbed by the Borussia Dortmund star.

The midfielder initially appeared to be moving towards the excited youngster, but instead gave his shirt to another supporter less than a few feet away, leaving the shell-shocked England supporter devastated.

Fans asking for players' shirts by holding a sign or a poster sometimes divides opinion in the footballing world, and many therefore believed Bellingham intentionally sidelined the youngster, whose father tried to hook his shirt away with his crutches.

His efforts were unsuccessful, however, the 18-year-old Dortmund star has since responded on social media, claiming he had already identified a supporter of his previous side Birmingham City, before he had even clocked the young lad with the sign.

But Bellingham empathised with the England fan, pledging to try and track him down and give him a shirt from Borussia Dortmund’s upcoming match against VFB Stuttgart.

“Sorry, was too focussed on the Blues flag. Can we find him so I can sort him my @BVB {Borussia Dortmund} one from the coming weekend?”

Soon after Bellingham's Twitter post, the young fan's identity was revealed to the Dortmund playmaker by another person.

And Bellingham sealed the transaction with some respect emojis on Twitter to sign off and conclude what was an unfortunate encounter.

Bellingham also endured some frustration of his own, when his first ever England goal was disallowed by VAR in the second half.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane departed Serravalle with the biggest smile on his face, after helping himself to four first half goals like he was at an all you can score buffet.
