Bayern Munich have began to make moves in their pursuit of Trevoh Chalobah after opening discussions with Chelsea for the defender.
The German giants have already dipped into the Premier League this season after forking out £100m for Harry Kane and are now hoping to return to London for Chalobah.
Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is a keen admirer of the Blues centre-back after working with him previously and handing the defender his debut at Stamford Bridge two years ago.
Chelsea are open to selling more players before the transfer window closes on Friday as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bring in more attacking reinforcements.
Romelu Lukaku is set to join Roma on a loan deal after Chelsea agreed a £5million move for the Belgian and Chalobah could be next to depart.

The 24-year-old’s dynamism means he can fill a number of defensive gaps for Bayern throughout the season as they compete to retain the Bundesliga and challenge in the Champions League.
Chalobah wants the move to happen and Chelsea are equally eager to complete the deal as long as their valuation is met.
Benjamin Pavard’s expected exit could see Chalobah brought in as a full-back, while he can also play at the heart of defence and in midfield if required.
Progressing all the way through Chelsea’s youth system before going on to become a fixture in the club’s senior set-up means the club would gain 100 per cent profit on any permanent deal.

Bayern aren’t interested in taking the player on loan and instead view Chalobah as a permanent addition to their squad, with Tuchel determined to get a deal with his old club over the line.
Chalobah has failed to make any of Chelsea’s matchday squads across their three opening Premier League matches while he recovers from a hamstring injury that was aggravated in training.
However, once fit it is hard to see him forcing his way into Pochettino’s plans with several players now appearing to be ahead of him in the Argentinian’s pecking order.
Chelsea have splurged on new arrivals and Chalobah’s best chance of getting consistent minutes may be to find a new club before the transfer window slams shut.
