Barcelona reportedly suspect Manchester United are in talks with Ousmane Dembele’s representatives about a possible move to Old Trafford. The France international has been linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the past, particularly in the summer transfer window of 2020. And though they’re well-stocked with attacking talent, the Red Devils may yet add to their squad.
Manchester United were interested in signing Dembele last year.
Having been priced out of a deal for Jadon Sancho by Borussia Dortmund, they explored the possibility of landing the Barcelona star.
In the end, though, the La Liga giants were able to retain their prized asset – leading to the Red Devils going after Facundo Pellistri, Amad and Edinson Cavani instead.
In the time since, United have strengthened further.
Sancho is now on board, with the England international joining from Dortmund for a huge fee of £73million.

Cristiano Ronaldo touched down from Juventus on transfer deadline day, 12 years after departing for Real Madrid.
And United also have attackers Amad, Cavani, Pellistri, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Marcus Rashford on their books, too.
Despite that, Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona now suspect United are holding talks with Dembele’s entourage about a move to Old Trafford.
It’s claimed they think the Red Devils are amongst the clubs ‘most interested’ in signing the forward, along with Juventus.
Barcelona are now looking into the matter and, if Joan Laporta’s worst fears are proven right, they’re ready to sideline Dembele as a result.

Laporta will supposedly have ‘a lot of say’ in what happens with Dembele.
Should he fail to sign an extension, the possibility of him being placed on the market in January can’t be ruled out.
And, if Dembele leaves, he’ll be the latest big-name star to depart the Nou Camp.
Last year, Barcelona controversially allowed Luis Suarez to join La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.
They then allowed Antoine Griezmann to do the same this summer, albeit on loan initially.
And Barcelona were also powerless to prevent Lionel Messi from leaving, with the Argentina international moving to Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking last month, meanwhile, Laporta insisted he wanted Dembele to stay put.
“Mateu (Alemany) has told me that he’s organising a meeting with his agent,” he said.
“The relationship with Ousmane is very good, he feels loved and we want him to stay.
“He’s told me that he’s really looking forward to playing again and wearing Barcelona’s shirt.
“With everyone’s work, we’ll get this player, who has a lot of quality, back playing and playing consistently.
“Hopefully the bad moments won’t be back.
“There’s a plan at the club for Ousmane to show his talent and quality.”
