Barcelona star Lionel Messi has PSG worried behind the scenes at the Parc des Princes, according to reports. The Argentina international has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp in this summer’s transfer window. But that might not happen now.
Barcelona thought they would lose Messi last summer.
The 33-year-old believed he was entitled to leave the club on a free transfer but, in the end, he was forced to remain at the Nou Camp.
Messi took a while to adjust to life under Ronald Koeman but has been in irresistible form since the turn of the year, scoring 21 times across all competitions.
And OkDiario say PSG are now worried about their prospects of signing him this summer.
Barcelona have been rejuvenated in recent times, emerging as Atletico Madrid’s closet challengers in the race for the La Liga title.

They’re currently six points behind their rivals and two ahead of Real Madrid.
Messi has played a key role in their recent rise and the Barcelona star seems far happier on the pitch than he did earlier in the campaign.
Joan Laporta, who has a good relationship with the Argentina international, has replaced Josep Maria Bartomeu as Barcelona president.
And PSG fear that close connection could now see them miss out.
They’re also concerned about the futures of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, with the Ligue 1 giants yet to tie them down to a new contracts.
Neymar has agreed a deal in principle but there’s been a delay to proceedings, something that’s particularly concerning after Laporta’s Barcelona return.
And PSG are fearful they’ll be powerless to prevent Mbappe from joining Real Madrid, with the 2018 World Cup winner Los Blancos’ top priority.
PSG had previously been relaxed, thinking Messi may end up moving as a replacement for Mbappe.
But the Argentina international staying at Barcelona now seems possible and what ultimately happens remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, speaking recently, former Manchester City star Pablo Zabaleta urged Messi to move to Manchester City instead of PSG this summer.

Lionel Messi’s Barcelona anger explained
Zabaleta said: “If Lionel Messi decides to leave Barcelona and he wants to play in the best league then he has to experience the Premier League for himself.
“It is something that will interest him – because every player I know always asks me what the Premier League is like.
“Leo has been in La Liga for so many years and I think it would be a huge attraction for him to experience English football.
“And Manchester City offer the perfect conditions.
“He knows Pep very well, he knows [sporting director] Txiki Begiristain and [chief executive] Ferran Soriano – and also Kun Aguero.
“It would be a big decision if Leo leaves Barcelona. But if that’s what he wants then it would be a good thing for him to go to a club that has people already there who can help him to settle.
“When you have been at one club for so long, moving somewhere new can be very strange.
“I am sure clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus would also be interested in signing him, but it is my opinion that City would be the best place to go after Barcelona.”
