Barcelona president Joan Laporta pitched four things in transfer negotiations for Erling Haaland, according to reports. The Catalan giants are determined to win the race for the Borussia Dortmund star. But that won’t be easy, especially with Mino Raiola involved.
Raiola was spotted arriving in Barcelona for talks with Laporta on Thursday, in images that quickly went viral on social media.
And the mischievous super-agent was also seen landing in Madrid to hold talks with Real Madrid over a potential deal, too.
Just about every club on the planet wants to sign Haaland, who has scored 31 goals in the Champions League and Bundesliga combined this term.
And Catalan newspaper Sport have lifted the lid on how the talks unfolded.
It’s claimed Laporta pitched four things to Raiola in order to persuade the super-agent that Haaland should move to the Nou Camp.
The first was a fully competitive side.

Haaland is unlikely to ever win the Bundesliga crown during his time at Dortmund, especially with Bayern Munich so strong across the board.
And Barcelona have guaranteed him a strong side capable of challenging for major honours in a bid to entice him to Catalonia.
They’ve assured him a good quality of life, too, and offered him the perfect platform for him to continue his journey to superstardom.
And, furthermore, Barcelona have also told him they’ll be able to compete economically with Europe’s best clubs when it comes to bolstering their ranks.
It’s claimed the meeting between the parties had a ‘good atmosphere’.

And while Raiola jetted out to Madrid for talks regarding a potential Haaland move to the Bernabeu, it’s said there was a ‘coldness’ to those negotiations.
Meanwhile, speaking recently, Rafael Yuste poured doubt over a potential deal for Haaland.
“Today, with a debt of 1,173 million, it would be irresponsible to say that we are going to sign Haaland or Mbappe,” he said.
“In addition, we have a squad that can give a lot of joy to the members and a brave coach who bets on young people.
“As we turn around the situation and generate resources, there will be a choice, but now let’s support what we have and see how far we can go.
“Right now we already have the best in the world called Leo Messi.”
Raiola has previously claimed only 10 clubs on the planet have the financial might to land his client.
“It is obvious that everybody is looking at Erling as one of those potential new future stars because it’s so difficult to do what he does at his age at his level,” he said.
“He will be one of the future stars of the next decade because we see that stars such as Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo and Messi are coming to an age where everyone asks themselves: ‘How long can we still enjoy them?’ So everyone is looking for the new generation.
“Only a maximum of 10 clubs can afford to buy [Haaland] and give the platform you would like after you’ve been in Dortmund… and four of those clubs are in [England].
“I don’t think there’s a sports director or trainer in the world who would say ‘not interested’.
“It’s like saying: ‘Is there a Formula 1 team who would not be interested in having Lewis Hamilton?'”
Haaland isn’t Barcelona’s only transfer target.
They want Dutch duo Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum, who look poised to leave Lyon and Liverpool behind.
And they’re confident of landing Manchester City defender Eric Garcia, whose contract at the Etihad is also winding down.
