Barcelona are set to launch an Erling Haaland transfer masterplan in a bid to destroy Real Madrid’s reported ‘agreement’ with the striker. Haaland has starred for Borussia Dortmund over the past two years, but is expected to leave the Bundesliga club in the summer transfer window.
The Norwegian international is being chased by a range of suitors, including El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Madrid.
He has scored an astonishing 80 goals in just 79 games for Dortmund, helping them to win last season’s DFB-Pokal.
But with a release clause in his contract becoming active at the end of the season, Haaland is not expected to remain at Signal Iduna Park.
That has sparked an almighty transfer chase between his interested suitors, all of whom should have the finances necessary to sign him.
His next destination remains up in the air, but Madrid and Barca have emerged as two of the leading contenders.

Los Blancos had appeared to move to the front of the queue after Sport, via AS, reported they had ‘reached an agreement’ with Haaland’s father Alf-Inge.
The ‘preferential’ agreement has put Madrid at an advantage over their rivals for Haaland’s signature.
It is stated that the deal means that if he decides to leave Dortmund, Madrid will be obligated to sign him, a year ahead of their schedule.
Los Blancos will have to pay a fee in the region of £62million to sign him, with the La Liga giants expected to try to bring that price down by including outcast Luka Jovic in the deal.

But while Madrid have those plans in place, Barcelona are moving to disrupt them and sign Haaland themselves.
Sport claim that Haaland is the ‘great objective’ for the Catalan giants, with club president Joan Laporta holding a series of meetings with the striker’s agent Mino Raiola.
Their offer covers a number of areas, including commissions for both Raiola and Haaland’s father, as well as the full release clause.
Barca will give Haaland the chance to become the leader of Xavi’s sporting project, something he would not get at Madrid as they are set to sign Galactico Kylian Mbappe.
Haaland will also become the face of Barcelona if he moves to the Nou Camp, with the La Liga side reported to be planning to put him at the forefront of their digital and marketing strategy.
While their financial problems have been well documented, Barca have recovered enough to offer the striker a five-year contract worth more than £16m per season.
They would also include bonuses related to trophies and individual targets, with the contract making him the highest-paid player in Xavi’s squad.
As they seek for a new star name, Barcelona hope that masterplan can ensure they destroy Madrid’s agreement and make Haaland the leader of their new project.
