Bailly has Man Utd team-mates in stitches after grilling Maguire for ‘big head’
Eric Bailly left Manchester United team-mate Scott McTominay in stitches after mocking fellow Red Devils defender Harry Maguire.
Bailly took to Instagram to respond to a post from Maguire, praising him for his performance against Manchester City while also reminding him of the size of his head.
Maguire helped United beat their local rivals 2-0 in the Premier League at the weekend with Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw netting the goals.
Maguire and Victor Lindelof were solid in defence as they ended City’s lengthy winning run.
The England defender took to Instagram to call it “One for the fans” with Bailly quick to respond to his team-mate.
Bailly wrote: “Top performance captain, you have a big head!!!!”
And McTominay, who also impressed against City, was left laughing following Bailly’s comment as he responded with six laughing emojis and “hahahaha”.
Maguire hailed the set-up from boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the win over Manchester City.
The United captain said: “We have brilliant coaches and a brilliant manager and brilliant analysts as well.
“Credit to them because they are the ones who sent us out in that formation and those tweaks when they have the ball.
“We knew they were going to keep the ball at times and the positions that they find themselves in, they have a lot of possession.
“We’ve seen that in recent games, so we had to be patient at times, but we had to make sure we kept getting up to the ball, kept getting contact, keep making tackles. I felt that we did that really well.
