Aston Villa linked with Serie A striker, JWP links boil on, interest in Danjuma
Aston Villa have been utterly box-office in this summer’s transfer window.
The B6 club have already wrapped up the signings of Emi Buendia from Norwich, Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen and Danny Ings from fellow Premier League club Southampton.
The club rubber-stamped their ambition by bringing the England international forward to Villa Park, as it was reported Ings was pushing for a move to a club playing in Europe.
With these three signings, it is clear Villa boss Dean Smith is preparing his squad to replace the output of their talisman Jack Grealish, who joined Manchester City for an English record £100million transfer fee.
But, Villa are not finished with their summer recruitment and have been linked with moves.

Villa linked with striker ‘crushing’ Serie A
Aston Villa have entered the race to sign Lazio forward Joaquin Correa, according to Il Messaggero (via Sport Witness )
Correa has mostly been deployed as a second striker for Lazio and reprised that role on three occasions for Argentina as they lifted the Copa America this summer.
The forward bagged 8 goals in Serie A last summer, and compatriots Emi Buendia and Emi Martinez will no doubt be pestering the forward to come and join them at Villa Park.
The Argentinian is expected to cost upwards of £25million, but Lazio icon Juan Sebastian Veron has encouraged his countryman to remain in Rome, where he has been ‘crushing it’.
James Ward-Prowse links boil on
James Ward-Prowse has been linked with Aston Villa throughout the summer as Smith looks to bolster his midfield options.
The Southampton free-kick specialist has been subject to a £25m bid from The Villans, but it is expected it would need to be substantially higher to pry the Southampton captain away from St.Mary’s.
However, their pursuit has been dealt a blow as Ward-Prowse is currently suffering from a knee injury.
"We don’t want to take any risks with Ward-Prowse’s knee,” Hasenhuttl said.
“It will take time and I am not so sure that he will make the opener against Everton.”
Interest in Danjuma
Arnaut Danjuma has been subject to interest throughout Europe and is reportedly keen to leave the Cherries amid interest from Aston Villa.
The Dutchman bagged 17 times in 35 Championship appearances, including goals in both legs of the play-offs against eventual winners Brentford. He also provided seven assists.
But Bournemouth are expected to sell Danjuma this summer with the Sun reporting he is 'keen' to secure a move away from the south coast club before the end of the transfer window.
"I have never hidden the fact I am ambitious. If something good comes up, I will always consider it," said Danjuma.
"I want to play as high as possible. If I’m honest, I don’t see myself playing in the Championship for another year. In my view the Premier League is the best league in the world."
