Arteta spotted at hockey game with Arsenal owner Kroenke as he seeks late deals
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was spotted at an NHL game alongside Stan Kroenke, with the transfer deadline approaching next week.
Arteta jetted stateside after the Gunners disappointing 0-0 draw with Burnley in the Premier League over the weekend.
The pair watched Colorado Avalanche, who the American also owns, beat the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 in the NHL on Monday.
The meeting in Denver is believed to be centred around extending Arteta's stay in North London with his contract up next summer.
However, with less than a week until the January transfer window slams shut, potential deals could have also been discussed.
Arsenal seem to have missed out on their main target for the window: Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic's goals have fired Fiorentina into the upper echelons of the Serie A table, but even the Serbian couldn't resist the call of Juventus, with Old Lady now in pole position or his signature.
Arteta has reportedly already begun to look elsewhere for his striking options, with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Luka Jovic linked to the Emirates.
While's Juventus' Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo has also emerged as a target for the Spaniard.

After a hectic Christmas and January period, Arsenal are now gearing up for just two games in February: Brentford and Wolves.
The Gunners will also have an extended period away from the pitch with their Premier League clash on February 19 the last until their trip to Watford on March 5.
