Arshavin stumbled out strip club and was then caught riding off on a horse
Andrey Arshavin's stunning four-goal haul for Arsenal during his brief stint in the Premier League still lives long in the memory – and the Russian winger has enjoyed some pretty memorable moments off the pitch since hanging up his boots in 2018.
Arshavin – who turns 41 today – faded into obscurity after his remarkable quadruple for the Gunners. He had stints in his native Russia and Kazakhstan after leaving England with varying levels of success.
Arshavin lifted the Russian title with Zenit St Petersburg and tasted domestic success with his final club, Kairat – but those accolades pale in comparison to the wild night out that the former Arsenal man enjoyed after calling time on his playing career.
The midfielder enjoyed himself a little bit too much on a particularly boozy night out in St Petersburg, where he was snapped stumbling out of an elite strip club hugging a pair of beauties. Still unsteady on his feet, Arshavin took a horse ride that he failed to pay for to cap a seriously whacky night.
Although Arshavin failed to pay for his moonlit horse ride, he probably did pay the price the next morning with the mother of all hangovers. He landed himself in hot water too with his strip club antics, with his wife at the time deleted her social media accounts "until the dust settles". The pair divorced after just a year of marriage.
Before their split, the pair had been thrust into the limelight shortly before Arshavin's wild night due to his boozy antics. Arshavin made headlines after he was snapped in a Kazakh nightclub with model Olga Semenova.
Who do you think was the biggest party animal to ever grace the Premier League? Let us know in the comments section.
Semenova become embroiled in a public feud with Arshavin's wife, with Semenova claiming: “She believes that everybody in Almaty throws themselves on her husband."
The comments came after Arshavin's wife allegedly threatened to cut off Semenova's fingers in the wake of her alleged antics with Arshavin.
In recent years, Arshavin has stayed out of the limelight and has even been tasked with setting a good example for kids. The Zenit icon was appointed as the club's Sporting Director of Youth Development back in 2020 before being bumped up to an executive role earlier this year.
