Arsenal working on £50m deal, Chelsea £60m talks, Son offered £100m

Klopp outlines Liverpool's plans for summer transfer window

The summer transfer window finally opened last week, with Europe’s biggest clubs now battling to snap-up the hottest talent on offer. Real Madrid were quick to get a deal over the line as they beat the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City to Jude Bellingham’s signature after the Merseysiders had already agreed a deal for World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister.

Declan Rice could be another big story of the window, with the West Ham midfielder being targeted by Arsenal for over £100million after the Gunners narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League title last season. Mikel Arteta’s side are also said to be working on a £50m deal to prise Jurrien Timber away from Ajax, while Manchester City could be weakened by the departures of Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan.

The Red Devils are desperately searching for a striker, while Chelsea are said to be continuing their talks with Brighton star Moises Caicedo. And Tottenham ace Son Heung-min has reportedly been offered a staggering £100m to play in Saudi Arabia.

There is plenty of activity going on behind-the-scenes – so stick around for all the transfer news throughout the day and follow the Express Sport live blog below.

Son offered £100m to play in Saudi Arabia

Tottenham star Son Heung-min has been offered a staggering £100million to sign for Al-Ittihad, according to The Mirror. Al-Ittihad won the Saudi pro League ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr last season and have since signed Karim Benzema from Real Madrid and have also agreed a deal with Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante.

Son, who is set to turn 31 next month, joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, and has two years left on his current deal.

Chelsea resume Caicedo talks

The Daily Mail are also reporting that Chelsea are resuming their talks with Brighton this week in an attempt to land Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo. The Blues had a £60million offer rejected earlier this month as owner Todd Boehly looks to continue his spending spree. But they could bump that figure up, with the 21-year-old player keen to move to Stamford Bridge.

Brighton, meanwhile will counter by offering £40m in exchange for highly-rated Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, who spent last season on loan with the Seagulls.

Arsenal told to increase Timber bid to £50m

Arsenal have been told that they will need to increase their Jurrien Timber bid from £30million to £50m if they want to prise the defender away from Ajax this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 22-year-old, who has won 15 caps for the Netherlands, still has two years remaining on his current deal but looks destined to move to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Liverpool also said to be chasing his signature.
