Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is weighing up a summer raid on London rivals Chelsea for striker Armando Broja, who is going from strength to strength on loan at Southampton.
The 20-year-old is on loan at St Mary’s for the entirety of the 2021-22 season and has scored seven goals in 24 appearances under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
But first team experience has seen the standard of his performances rise as the season has gone on. He gave Harry Maguire a torrid afternoon as Southampton drew 1-1 with Manchester United on Saturday.

Now, according to Football London, Arteta and Arsenal have taken notice of the Albania international’s south coast displays and the Spanish coach regards the forward highly.
The publication says that for Arteta, bolstering his attacking options will be a priority in the summer and a move for Broja is being considered.
Arsenal tried and failed to sign a striker in the January transfer window. Dusan Vlahovic was a serious target but he opted to join Juventus from Fiorentina.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also left the Gunners on a free transfer after being exiled by Arteta and has since joined Barcelona.

Furthermore, fellow Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is out of contract at the end of the season.
For the remainder of the season, Arsenal will be battling it out for the fourth and final Champions League qualifying place.
They are currently sixth in the standings but have two games in hand on fifth place Manchester United and three on West Ham, who currently sit in fourth. The Hammers are only two points better off than Arteta’s side.
