Arsenal ‘submit bid’ for Locatelli, show Abraham interest, and Xhaka Roma update
Mikel Arteta's side haven't had the best start to their pre-season, and Arsenal slumped in a defeat to Scottish side Hibernian – before drawing with Steven Gerrard'sRangers.
However, their new signing, Nuno Tavares, bagged on his un-official Gunners debut, finding the net in the first half against Rangers.
And, Arteta looks to have finally struck a deal for Brighton and England's ball-playing centre back Ben White – as the two parties have agreed a £50million fee for his services.

Arsenal submit bid for Locatelli
Manuel Locatelli was one of the breakout stars of Euro 2020, and the Sassuolo midfielder has attracted interest from all over Europe – with Arsenal and Juventus being the most concrete.
And, according to the Italian media outlet Sportmediaset, the Gunners have placed a €45million – roughly £38million – bid for Sassuolo's star man.
Arteta is keen to bolster his midfield, and this summer has seen his side linked with a litany of midfielders.

Xhaka update
Granit Xhaka looks set to leave Arsenal this season after his estranged relationship with Arsenal looks set to end as he moves to Roma.
La Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming that the Arsenal captain has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A side, and he is now trying to push the deal through by giving up his Arsenal bonuses – according to the Mirror.
Jose Mourinho is hoping to land the wantaway midfielder for around £15million.
Willian backs Tammy Abraham
Arsenal are looking to bolster their attack, and according to The Telegraph, Tammy Abraham has emerged as a surprise option for the Gunners.
And Abraham's former teammate Willian has backed Abraham to be a success: “He can become one of the best strikers in the world," he told the Evening Standard.
“I’ve played with good players, good strikers like Diego Costa and Fernando Torres. Now Tammy can become one of the best."
