A panicked Arsenal steward almost grabbed hold of Oleksandr Zinchenko during celebrations for their winning goal against Fulham – because he wasn't in his usual attire.

The Ukraine skipper, who has impressed since joining Mikel Arteta's side in the summer from Manchester City, sat out their fourth game of the season due to injury.

With the Gunners going on to score a late winner through Gabriel, who had been at fault for Aleksandar Mitrovic's opening goal, Zinchenko ran to join the celebrations.

Having been sat on the bench wearing his own clothes, he jumped into his team-mates with a big hug as the crowd went wild – leaving one steward baffled.

As spotted by the Sky Sports cameras, the club employee looked seemingly towards her colleagues and approached Zinchenko before backing off.

One fan said in response: "When the stewardess thought Oleksandr Zinchenko was a fan from the crowd then realised."

With a second adding: "Would have been even better if that steward tried to take down zinchenko after the goal though."

With a third asking: "Was the steward coming for Zinchenko???"

And a fourth continuing: "That steward lady thought Zinchenko was a pitch invader! Zinchenko's passion is just top notch!"

After Mitrovic had robbed Gabriel to fire the opener past Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard's deflected shot gave the Gunners the equaliser.

Gabriel was then on hand to flick home into an empty net following a scrappy corner, sending Arsenal back to the top of the table.

Although Arteta's men have had a perfect start to the season, he didn't get everything right on Saturday with some criticism of their display.
