Arsenal are poised to announce Reiss Nelson has signed a new four-year contract.

This comes as the Gunners have already had an incredibly busy summer in terms of incomings, with Kai Havertz making the move from Chelsea.

Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber are also on the verge of completing permanent moves from West Ham and Ajax.

Mikel Arteta’s side are also set to announce that Nelson has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal at the Emirates as his current contract expired.

The winger was a rotation option at Arsenal last season but did enough during his limited game time to earn himself a new deal.

Mailsport previously revealed that the Gunners had made breakthrough talks with Nelson as he agreed a new long-term deal.

It is believed that the deal will see him handed a significant rise on his current salary, which is around £60,000-per-week.

Nelson had attracted interest from several Premier League clubs such as Brighton, Aston Villa and Fulham.

AC Milan were also thought to be interested in a move for the winger, although they have now switched their attention to Christian Pulisic.

Nelson’s desire has been to remain with his boyhood club despite a lack of game time this season, and he has now got his wish, with Arsenal set to announce the new deal.
