Arsenal plot surprise move for £35m Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Arsenal could be set for a shock swoop for their former player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, after the midfield has struggled for game time at Liverpool.
Life on Merseyside had originally started well for Oxlade-Chamberlain, and he claimed a Champions League and Premier League success.
However, after a knee injury-plagued the start to his 20/21 campaign, Ox has only started four Liverpool games since.
And at the start of the 21/22 campaign, Ox had fallen behind Harvey Elliot and Curtis Jones in the Reds' pecking order.
The 28-year-old could be readying a return to Arsenal to kick-start his career, according to The Sun.
Oxlade-Chamberlain spent six years at the Emirates, after signing from Southampton, but he left in 2017 for £35million.
And Mikel Arteta is weighing up the possibility of a loan until the end of the season, with the option to make it permanent, for Oxlade-Chamberlain in January.
Ox and Arteta are no strangers to one another, and they played in the centre of the park alongside each other at Arsenal.
They both played a part in Arsenal's FA Cup double in 2014 and 2015.

Arteta is considering Oxlade-Chamberlain due to his experience.
Arsenal's midfielder is currently quite young, and the absence of Granit Xhaka will come as a blow to the side.
The Gunners are also set to lose Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny at the African Cup of Nations after the New Year.
