Arsenal icon could buy Man Utd from Glazers and have change to spare
There are not many people in the world who could buy Manchester United after their valuation emerged – but one Arsenal icon is among them.
The Daily Star exclusively revealed how much the Glazers are looking to sell the club for – $10million (£9.1m). It comes after months of protests from United fans, who are desperate to see the back of the American moguls.
While a list of potential buyers is pretty slim, Mathieu Flamini is ranked among them and he could snap up the Red Devils and have some money left over. While the Frenchman's career saw him become a fan favourite at Arsenal, while he had other spells with AC Milan, Crystal Palace and Getafe,

And while his earnings as a footballer would have given many others more than enough to go about their lives, that was merely a drop in the oceans for the former midfielder. Flamini is now worth a jaw-dropping £12.6billion ($14m) since hanging up his boots, according to Forbes.
That is down to his investments with company GFBiochemicals as well as his ventures with The BioJournal. It means that Flamini could snap up United by meeting the Glazers' asking price – and still have a little extra left over.

Whether the United fans could accept a former Arsenal star owning their club remains to be seen but beggars cannot be choosers and they might just have anyone other than the Glazers these days.
Over the last year or so, there have been numerous protests over the Americans' ownership and nearly every game there are chants of "we want the Glazers out".
Britain's richest man Jim Ratcliffe had been touted as the top choice to take over, the club that he supported as a boy. The INEOS chief nearly came close to purchasing Chelsea earlier this year before Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
