Arsenal hero Tony Adams tells Arteta to "stop rotating" and outlines squad flaw
Arsenal club legend Tony Adams has told Mikel Arteta to stop rotating his squad which has an "issue" with it.
The Gunners have arrested their poor start to the season since the international break with three wins on the bounce, but they have only faced Norwich, Burnley and AFC Wimbledon.
Arteta used the first break in the season to tinker with his squad and tested out the back-three formation which he'd previously found success with.
The Spanish manager used it in a friendly match against Brentford, which his side won 4-0, but has reverted to a back four for the competitive fixtures since then.
Adams believes Arteta should stick to this formation for the foreseeable future instead of rethinking his side's shape again.
He told Sky Sports: "I want Arteta to stay with this group, to stop rotating there’s been so many changes and so many changes of system.
"Stick with this back four now and goalkeeper and go with it, run with it."

Summer signing Takehiro Tomiyasu has slotted in at right-back after linking up with the side following international duty with Japan.
In between the sticks has also seen a change since the break with Aaron Ramsdale taking the gloves from Bernd Leno.
But despite there now being an established defence with Kieran Tierney, Ben White and Gabriel in there too, Adams feels the squad is lacking something.
And that missing element is experience, according to the former Gunners defender.
He added: "My issue is the kids are our best players at this moment, Saka and Smith-Rowe they’re not supposed to lead.
"We need some good experienced players and players that stay fit. [Thomas] Partey’s come into the team, he’s been inured a long time now, we need some leaders in the team. Hopefully some growth."
Arsenal recruited very youthfully in the summer transfer window, with all six of their additions aged either 23 or younger, which has also drawn criticism from Tim Sherwood.
