Arsenal handed Aaron Ramsey boost as Juventus star does U-turn over transfer
Arsenal hero Aaron Ramsey looks to have changed his mind over a potential return to the Premier League this summer, with Massimiliano Allegri replacing Andrea Pirlo at Juventus.
The Wales international midfielder has admitted to having a "very difficult" two seasons with Italy following his free transfer, with time spent under both Maurizio Sarri and Pirlo.
The 30-year-old, who won Serie A under the former Chelsea boss, made only 13 league starts the following season as the Old Lady missed out on the title for the first time in 10 seasons.
Despite his contract running until the summer of 2023, it is unclear if Allegri has plans for the former Gunner, who seems to have grown tired of his time on the continent.
He told Football Mercato: “The last two seasons at Juventus have been very difficult, frustrating, not just from a physical point of view. I want a place where I can feel good again.”
Adding: “There have been many factors and changes that I haven’t been used to.
“In the end, now I have got my own team around me who are focused on me, to get myself into the best possible shape.
“Football is a team sport and a lot of the time it is about the team and everybody doing the same things, when maybe some players need a bit more attention.

“So, I take it into my own hands and have the right people around me to try to come up with the best possible plan to get myself back into a place where I am feeling good and confident again.
“The Welsh staff and medical team have been brilliant, they have been open for discussions and it’s important to all be on the same page.
“I have known a lot of the Welsh staff for a long time from my Arsenal days as well.
“They understand me, they know my body and they know what I need.”
Which comes after he told Sky Sports earlier this month: "It’s obviously been a very frustrating period for me over the last couple of years.
"I’ve picked up a few small niggly injuries which have been frustrating and I’ve not been able to get any consistency going.
"It’s been frustrating when you arrive at a new club and want to hit the ground running and show everybody what you’re capable of doing consistently."
Adding when asked if he would stay at the club next season: "Yeah, I’m a Juventus player."
