Arsenal fans think ‘agent Odegaard’ could help secure Erling Haaland transfer

Arsenal fans think that “agent” Martin Odegaard can help secure a transfer for hot property Erling Haaland.

The midfielder has become a lynch pin for the Gunners, making 11 appearances since his loan move from Real Madrid and scoring two goals.

He has now flown out to home country Norway ahead of World Cup qualification matches against Gibraltar, Turkey and Montenegro.

It means the 22-year-old is linking up with Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund starlet with 124 goals for club and country at 20 years old.

This has seen the forward get linked with a mega-money transfer this summer amid interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

But the Gunners faithful believe Odegaard’s presence in the Norway national squad could help make the goal sensation consider north London.

“Agent Odegaard to the rescue,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “He should use his influence to help with Haaland – Agent Odegaard.”

While a third suggested it was already confirmed, with: “Haaldn to Arsenal, done deal.”

And a fourth added: “Is it too soon or can we start those ‘welcome to Arsenal’ videos for Haaland?”

Other Arsenal fans, though, decided to keep their feet firmly on the ground.

“Both will be playing at Real next season,” a fifth supporter admitted.

With another writing: “Imagine if we signed both this summer – we can dream but we shouldn’t!”

And a seven suggested another player would be inbound following the international break, with: “Watch agent Odegaard bring Josh King back to the Emirates instead.”
