Arsenal fans say they are ‘done’ as £60m transfer prioritised over Declan Rice
Arsenal fans are up in arms after learning that the club is prioritising a move for Kai Havertz over Declan Rice.
The Gunners have opened talks with Chelsea over an audacious swoop for the German star with an improved £60m bid in the pipelines.
News of the approach has split opinion among Arsenal supporters with many unconvinced of Havertz's quality, and others concerned about how the move might impact their pursuit of Rice.
After having an opening bid for the West Ham skipper turned down and reports of Manchester City fluttering their eyelids in his direction, Arsenal fans think a move for Havertz should be parked until the Rice saga has been resolved.

"If arsenal sign Havertz before Rice I am done with this club," one supporter fumed on Twitter.
"Why are we buying Havertz it's such a waste of money," another tweeted, while a third added: "Upping our price for Havertz while delaying on Rice. Have we gone insane?"
Another commented: "Makes no sense for us to focus on Havertz now. We have so many players in his position. What we need is a central midfielder. Let's sort Rice or Lavia before we sort Havertz."

Rice has been Arsenal's number one transfer target for weeks and although they appear to be leading the race for his signature, it's understood they'll need to part with at least £100m to get him.
The 25-year-old has two years left on his Hammers contract and although club owner David Sullivan admitted he's promised to let the player leave, West Ham are in a strong negotiating position.
The likes of City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all monitoring the situation and could end up pipping Arsenal if the Gunners fail to play their cards right in the coming days and weeks.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are closing in on Brighton's Moises Caicedo – a player Arsenal pushed hard to sign in January. The Seagulls are expected to hold out for a fee close to £100m and the Blues are looking to generate funds from players sales to fund such a bid.
Havertz is one of their highest earners and despite joining the club for £72m just three years ago, it's understood they'd be willing to let him leave for around £60m, especially after Real Madrid were put off by their previous asking price of £70m.
Bayern Munich are considering rivalling Arsenal for Havertz's signature, with ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel keen to link up with the 24-year-old again, though the German club are yet to submit an official bid.
