Arsenal fans livid after FIFA ratings leaked with Martinelli below two outcasts

FIFA 23's player ratings have been leaked online – and Arsenal fans are fuming.

The latest edition of the popular video game is due to launch in the UK on September 30, but a glitch in the title's beta has allowed fans to play FIFA 23 early, revealing Ultimate Team stats and player ratings.

The rating system is always a source of plenty of controversy, and it's proved no different this time around after Gunners supporters discovered how their stars had been assessed. A Twitter account called 'afcstuff' posted leaked grabs of the ratings on social media, sparking fury among the club's fanbase.

Midfielders Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard have been given the highest rating among Mikel Arteta's squad, clocking in at 84 apiece. They're followed by Gabriel Jesus on 83 and England pair Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka, both on 82.

Along with Martinelli, the quintet have been instrumental in Arsenal's positive start to the season. Yet Brazil international Martinelli himself is ranked surprisingly low by FIFA, who deem him to be worth a score of just 78.

That puts him below outcasts like Nicolas Pepe and Hector Bellerin and only just above the likes of Rob Holding, reserve goalkeeper Matthew Turner and youngster Fabio Vieira.

Arsenal fans have been left fuming about Martinelli's lowly ranking and have taken to social media to vent their fury. One supporter wrote: "78 for Martinelli is a crime."

Someone else said: "PES it is then. Nonsense." A third person added: "This is clear evidence of an agenda against Arsenal within the footballing community."

A fourth person said: "The disrespect to Odegard, Nketiah, Zinchenko, Ben White, Martinelli… damn." Others noted that Oleksandr Zinchenko's rating is the same as Bellerin's, writing: "They have Zinchenko and bellerin as the same rating."

Someone else said: "Zinchenko and Bellerin having the same ratings? Someone’s on crack." While another user wrote: "Hector Bellerin being the same rating as Zinchenko is too funny ffs."
