Arsenal fans hope club have found next superstar as 14-year-old shines for U18s
Arsenal's season may be effectively over after Thursday night's Europa League defeat against Villareal, but Gunners fans have reason to be excited for the future.
The Gunners have always been known for their ability to spot a promising youngster, and it seems they've done it again now.
Teenage wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri scored a stunner on his debut for the under-18 side this week in his first piece of action for the team.
The 14-year-old channelled his inner-Nicolas Pepe by opening his body out and lashing into the top corner with his left foot.
Incredibly, he wasn't the only 14-year-old to score for Arsenal in the game, as Myles Lewis-Skelly produced almost an identical goal on what was his debut for the team.
Fans are hoping the two will follow in the footsteps of Eddie Nketiah, Folarin Balogun and Hector Bellerin by forging a path from the academy to the senior side.
Accompanying the video of Nwaneri's goal, Arsenal's academy tweeted: "Imagine making your #AFCU18 debut… At just 14 years of age… And scoring a goal like this!
"Take a bow, Ethan Nwaneri."

One fan responded: "Another one to watch out for… go dude!!"
The club also posted a video of Lewis-Skelly's goal, writing: "Myles Lewis-Skelly made his debut for #AFCU18 last night… What a way to open your account at just 14 years of age!"
And the reaction, again, was positive. One fan responded: "WOW!!! 2 14 year old lads playing in an under 18 game and scoring. The future really is looking bright."
Arsenal's first-team is in a state of flux at the moment, with Mikel Arteta's future unclear after seeing his side knocked out of the Europa League.
The Gunners failed to find the goal they needed to progress against Villareal, who went through after a 2-1 first-leg victory.
Judging by the looks of Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly, however, the future looks bright.
