Arsenal fans are starting to believe they can win the Premier League after their last-gasp victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

Eddie Nketiah’s late strike secured three points for Mikel Arteta’s side in what was a thrilling game at the Emirates and they are now five points clear of Manchester City with a game in hand at the top of the table.

Gunners fans have reacted on social media, with one supporter insisting their side are ‘actually gonna win the league’, despite around half of the campaign still remaining.

‘I’m starting to dare to believe. We are starting to look like champions!’ said another happy supporter after the full time whistle was blown in North London.

Rivals fans also took to the social networking site to pay tribute to the Gunners, with many praising them for their performances and achievements up to this point.

‘Hats off to arsenal, They look like champions’, said one user.

‘What a game from Arsenal’, added another. ‘Definitely love seeing such a great group of young guys jelling so well together. Going to be a joy to watch for the next few years no doubt!’

Fans also praised forward Eddie Nketiah after he scored two goals on Sunday afternoon

Eddie Nketiah scored a brace at the Emirates, and he too was praised for his performances.

One user on Twitter said: ‘World class performance Nketiah. Man of the match!’

Another added: ‘Eddie Nketiah, remember the name!’

Arteta topped off the praise for his forward, saying: ‘What Eddie is doing is incredible. We were hoping he could do this because of his mentality and his qualities and how they fit the team. The way Eddie and the team are responding is in an exceptional way.’
