Arsenal eye Ramsdale alternative, Martinez interest and ‘approach’ Lyon star
With less than two weeks to go until the start of the new Premier League season, Arsenal continue to be linked with a whole host of exciting new faces as Mikel Arteta ramps up his spending.
The Gunners have already spent close to £80million in the transfer window, bringing in Nuno Tavares for £7.2m, Albert Sambi Lokonga for £15.75m and Ben White at a cost of £50m.
Arsenal mean business as they look to try and reestablish themselves among England's football's elite after a disastrous campaign last time around.
Daily Star Sport have news of three more potential arrival at the Emirates, including a potential alternative to Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale
Ramsdale alternative
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Blades stopper Ramsdale throughout the summer transfer window, but the 23-year-old's £50million asking price is proving a significant stumbling block.
That could prompt the Gunners to look elsewhere, and according to The Sun, one of the proposed alternatives is Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.
Unfortunately for the north Londoners, though, the Hornets also seem unwilling to sell because Bachmann, 27, is considered a part of coach Xisco's plans this season.
Martinez interest
What do you make of Arsenal's transfer business so far? Let us know in the comments section.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are exploring the possibility of signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
The Gunners have a long held interest in the Argentine, and it is believed he would be interested in a move to the Emirates if Inter wanted to sell him.
However, the report adds that a deal could be dependent on the future of Alexandre Lacazette.
It is claimed his name has been mentioned as part of a potential transfer, although the Serie A club are understood to only want cash.
Lyon 'approach'
Despite suggestions Arsenal are looking to extend Granit Xhaka's contract, it seems they are still in the market for another midfielder.
Sport Witness confirmed earlier in the week that the Gunners are looking at Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes – and now they know how much it'll take to sign the 23-year-old Brazilian.
A new report from Globo Esporte claims Arsenal will have to part with at least €40m to sign the star who has three years remaining on his current contract.
