Arsenal could still do another 10 deals after Timber with transfer ‘agreed’
Arsenal could still strike another 10 deals this summer after reportedly agreeing a fee for Jurrien Timber. Mikel Arteta could make a couple more additions to his squad as well as move on a host of players.
Arsenal announced their first signing of the window on Wednesday, completing a £65million move for Kai Havertz. It appears likely that Timber and Declan Rice will be the next two players through the doors at the Emirates.
A deal worth up to £105m was agreed with West Ham for Rice this week. Meanwhile, Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claims a total fee of just over £40m has been verbally agreed between Arsenal and Ajax for Timber.
The Gunners are far from finished there in terms of transfer business. Express Sport looks at two further incomings and eight outgoings that could occur in the remainder of the window.

Dutch football expert explains what Timber could offer Arsenal
Incomings:
Romeo Lavia
Lavia looks set to leave Southampton following their relegation from the Premier League. He is a player Arteta has identified following his first full season in top-flight football.
At just 19, there is plenty of interest from other clubs in England. If Arteta allows one or two midfielders to leave, don’t be surprised to see Lavia end up at the Emirates.
Xavi Simons
French outlet L’Equipe reported earlier this week that Arsenal are interested in Simons. The PSV Eindhoven star had a fine first season in Dutch football.
Simons has the option to return to Paris Saint-Germain but L’Equipe says he is not keen on doing so. The player has recently changed agent to Darren Dein, the son of former Arsenal transfer guru David Dein.

Outgoings:
Granit Xhaka
Xhaka’s move to Bayer Leverkusen is still lined up. Arteta has wanted to bring in a replacement first before allowing the deal to go through.
Thomas Partey
Partey has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia as well as Juventus. He may struggle for game time once Rice is officially an Arsenal player.
Rob Holding
Express Sport understands Besiktas are interested in signing Holding. The defender struggled when deputising for William Saliba in the final stages of last season.
Arsenal’s new kit for 2023/2024 is a stylish twist on a classic as it reinvents that mid-1990s vibe. A truly modern-looking shirt with a homage to the past, the Nike kit also includes a nod to the club’s iconic Invincible’s side in the finer details while catching the eye with the lightning bolt motif
Albert Sambi Lokonga
The Belgian midfielder fell out of favour during his loan at Crystal Palace following Patrick Vieira’s sacking. If he wants regular minutes, he will have to look elsewhere next season.
Nicolas Pepe
Arsenal are attempting to find a buyer for club-record signing Pepe. The winger flattered to deceive on loan at Nice and the French club won’t be signing him permanently.
Folarin Balogun
Balogun has made it clear he doesn’t want to go out on loan again. There is plenty of interest in the striker after his successful loan spell at Reims.
Nuno Tavares
It is difficult to see a future at Arsenal for Tavares. He impressed at times at Marseille last term and could have to move elsewhere again to continue his development.
Cedric Soares
The signing of Timber will only decrease Cedric’s chances of game time further. The right-back is set to enter the final year of his contract but will be looking for a move away before then.
